Originally part of my Lit Candle Collection, Manuscript quickly became one of the bestselling candles in the collection. It has been used by writers at just about every stage of bringing a book into the world.
I created Manuscript as a fixed candle specifically for the work we pour into our books.
Light it while you’re writing and working toward finishing your manuscript. Light it when you sign with an agent or publisher. Light it when you turn in your final draft. Light it when your book goes up for preorder, when it publishes, or simply wanting to continue calling good things toward a book that is already out in the world.
I’ve personally worked with this candle for many years and have used it with my own books and writing. My books have gone on to become bestsellers and international bestsellers, and Manuscript has remained part of the ritual and spiritual work I do around what I create—not only for success, but for protection, luck, wealth, nourishment, and alignment with the right opportunities.
I’m an Indigenous, first-generation Cuban who grew up learning the practice of fixing candles from my mother, aunties, and grandmothers. I’ve been working with fixed candles since I was a child, learning how different herbs, roots, flowers, and oils are worked with for different intentions.
Each Manuscript candle is personally fixed by me using my own proprietary blend of oils, roots, herbs, and flowers, including plants I grow myself in my home garden. The blend includes blue vervain, valerian root, aloe leaf, bilberry leaf, basil leaf, and other ingredients I’ve chosen specifically for the intentions held within this candle.
