I created this fixed candle to support clarity, creative connection, focus, flow, and your relationship with your inner writer. It can be worked with when you feel stuck, but you absolutely do not have to wait until you’re struggling to use it.
One of my favorite ways to work with Writer’s Block is to make it part of your writing ritual.
Light it when you sit down to write. Let that become the signal: I’m here. It’s time to enter the work.
You can light it at the beginning of each writing session and extinguish it when you’re finished, returning to it again the next time you sit down to write. Over time, the simple act of lighting the candle can become part of the ritual that brings you back into your creative space.
Work with it while drafting a book, journaling, writing essays or poetry, editing, working toward a daily word count, or anytime you need sustained focus and a little help quieting everything else long enough to hear what wants to come through.
Each Writer’s Block candle is personally fixed by me with my own proprietary blend of oils, roots, herbs, flowers, and other ingredients chosen for its intention. The blend includes lungwort, black cohosh, cat’s claw, clove, boneset, and other ingredients I work with for this candle.
